Character Masterclass

Also this term, we’re proud to offer a Character Improv Masterclass with Olivier Award Winning actor, improviser and character comic, Susan Harrison. This is a great course, designed by the BAFTA nominated character-mistress, to engage improvisers with powerful character choices in scenes, shows and other aspects of performance – You can learn more and book here.

Level One Classes

Just starting out with improv? Getting back into improv after a break? Level One is a great foundation in Chicago Style Long Form Improv and it’s super-fun too!

We’ve got weekly classes starting Sunday 19th March and Tuesday 21st March too! Hit the links for details!


Level Two Classes

Level Two takes the scenework of Level One and turns it up. We’ll develop your scenework while giving you techniques for getting out of your head in scenes, supporting your team, monologue work and basic long-form structure.

Weekly Classes starting up on Saturday 18th March and Monday 20th March.

Level Two requires that you have completed Monkey Toast’s Level One Class or that you have auditioned into the class – if you’d like to book, please request a code or an place on the audition from – our next audition takes place on the 11th of March.


Level Three Classes

Now we’re cooking, Level Three covers The Harold – the long-form structure at the heart of all Chicago Stlye Long-Form. We cover the sometimes complex form in a fun, enthusiastic and honest manner – ensuring that our students get the encouragement they need to take risks and the critical assesment they need to develop. Plus, your class will perform their first Harold at the end of term.

Weekly Classes start up on Saturday 18th March and Thursday 24th March.

Level Four Class

In Level Four ou’ll learn a new opening for The Harold and other long forms and we’ll spend time learning some more advanced Chicago Style Long Form structures like The Slacker and The Armando, plus we’ll keep developing your character work and really get to any bad habits you still have. And at the end of term, you’ll headline your graduation show!

This Term’s Level Four Class starts Sunday 19th March.
